I was doing a spot of reading last night, ploughing through old issues of Blues & Soul magazine from 1969 and 1970 and while I was reading about all these fantastic records that were popular at the time, I realised that I (or most other people) tend to have forgotten just how big some of these tracks were – records that are relatively common nowadays were very hard to find and in demand back then – so I was inspired to put this compilation together – at 2am this morning..
