MUSICAL HAPPINESS - FIFTEEN YEARS OF SKA, ROCKSTEADY & REGGAE

Presenting over a decade’s worth of Jamaican sounds, from the 1961 proto-Ska of Derrick & Patsy to the early 70’s DJ style of Dennis Alcapone and Tony King…I also found a Shocks Of Mighty version by Sir Collins which I’d never even heard of before so I included that – with all manner of Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae inbetween, plus a recent release, and a nice medley from Desmond Dekker to end with. Nearly everything here is first time on mixcloud for me, there are a couple from the one I did at New year but they fit in well with this one so I used them again. All taken from vinyl and mixed live so one or two will have good old surface noise…
