This is just an excuse to play some long neglected British label stuff again. All tracks are from the 60's and all were released on UK labels. It's a game of two halves really with uptempo material gradually turning into midtempo and beat ballad tunes. Plus it's a mix of Northern Soul, Beat, Girls and Mod tunes, so there should be something for everyone. Apart from reggae fans of course. I admit that some of this is not exactly earth shattering (Marion Angel, Freddie Ryder) but they're decent attempts at songs better known by other artists. Connie Francis and Anita Bryant are the only USA recorded records here, they are both superb and a lot better than you'd imagine them to be if you'd never heard them...especially the Anita Bryant...
