This one’s called – The Five Chapters Of Reggae. It sounded like a good idea at the time. Okay so we start off with the classic 1968 to 70 Boss Reggae sounds, followed by a journey back to 1966, reversing all the way back to 1961 with only the second release on the Blue Beat label from Byron Lee; then it’s 1967 Rocksteady and finally a bit of everything goes, with general early 70’s Reggae songs giving way to Dub from the end of the decade.
This one was a bit of a disaster to record as my line out cable broke, so I had to rig up two different decks (I usually use an old twin deck DJ ring), go out of them into an amp, then out of the amp into the Mac, consequently it may sound too bassy, apologies if so.
