This is a compilation of early Jamaican R & B and Soul recordings, starting circa 1960. I didn’t want to make it a mix of JA artists doing soul covers but rather concentrate on home grown recordings. Anyway, there are ballads, midtempo sounds and a few fast dancers, you may get bored in parts but there’s some interesting stuff here. Apologies for the noise on some of the tracks, as always I’ve done them directly from vinyl.
