This international history lecture reveals a wide-ranging preoccupation with the material conditions of peace, alongside the more familiar concern of disarmament. Patricia Clavin is Professor of International History, and Zeitlyn Fellow and Tutor in History at Jesus College Oxford. She is an editor of the Oxford History Monographs series, and serves on the editorial board of Past and Present. In 2008-09, she held the British Academy ‘Thank-Offering-to-Britain’ Senior Research Fellowship, and in 2015 was awarded a Major Research Fellowship from the Leverhulme Trust.
