Imagine your self laying in a wooden boat in a bay somewhere in Indonesia. Off in the distance the ringing of gamelan drifts in and out. Waves lap the side of the boat as the sounds of bells, drums and vibraphone come to you as in a dream.
In this latest 4th World Excursion the music of Andrew Pekler, Roméo Poirier, Halftribe, Eli Keszler, Vieo Abiungo, Lemongrass and more adhere to the Jon Hassell esthetic of "a unified primitive/futuristic sound combining features of world ethnic styles with advanced electronic techniques."
