Strangely evocative is a good description of this mix. That's the feeling I get from the projector sound on the first cut by Andrew Sherwell. It's from his album, Orthodox Tales, on the label Whitelabrecs. Many of these cuts have a bit of noise that one would associate with an old 8mm film.
