I learned about this legend through @caru_xo (whose mix on my show is insane and aired earlier this past year) both of whom are keeping the Aotearoa electronic scene super locked in non-stop. Hyan's approach to music is infectious and undeniable. He's put out banger after banger as a producer, and the accolades for his production are understandably always rolling in. As a DJ the facts are no different...He's won the hearts of so many lovers of UKG, breakbeat, jungle, hip-hop--uniting worlds of music lovers worldwide. He's an alum of George FM, BBC 1Xtra, Rinse FM, Ec2a and Soulection and has played out at some of the craziest looking parties I have ever seen. In addition to being an absolute heavyweight, Hyan is also one of the funniest and nicest people in the planet and he approaches everything he does with a creative and fun perspective--making insanely iconic visual art and collaborating with artists of all mediums to craft a world that is simply a joy to be a part of.
