Com£♡ (Compound Love) // Mickey T
My latest set was inspired by spring walks in Kanazawa—light, wind, and humidity shaping modular textures. I used Eurorack gear (Folktek, Make Noise, Mutable), tape loops, and a modified reel-to-reel through live EQ. I love setups that feel like controlled chaos. Modular synths are meditative—patching is like sculpting sound. It’s alive, unpredictable, and keeps you present. Com£♡ lives between memory and dream: ambient, emotional, and fragile. The name comes from the idea that love is layered, messy, chemical—ever-mutating. "Compound Love" became Com£♡, like a digital spell. My process starts with a haunting sound or phrase, then I improvise and sculpt it down. Kanazawa’s quiet rhythm and seasonal shifts shape my work. I'm now exploring spatial audio and site-specific sound. SF’s underground scene—Mills College, BAVC, Obscura Digital, Dimension7, and Infinite Chaos—taught me to merge music, visuals, and community as one breathing form.
