STEVIE WONDER: singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, a CHILD PRODIGY who developed into one of the most creative musical figures of the late 20th century. Blind since shortly after birth, Wonder signed with MOTOWNS Tamla label at the age of eleven, and continues to perform and record for Motown to this day: Wonder is also noted for his work as an activist for political causes, including his 1980 campaign to make MARTIN LUTHER KING JR'S birthday a holiday in the United States.
DONNY HATHAWAY: Soul singer-songwriter and musician. Dropped out of Howard University and was contracted with ATLANTIC RECORDS in 1969 and with his first single "THE GHETTO PART1" in 1970. A major new force in soul music. He was diagnosed with PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA and later committed suicide. He was only 34 years old. His use of the RHODES PIANO on his early Atco R&B recordings has also influenced many NEO SOUL artists & producers today. He is the father of soul r&b singers Lalah and kenya Hathaway.
