Lao communist with all the help from North Vietnam, USSR and China managed to control Lao completely by 1975.On December 02, 1975 Laos became Republic Democratic People of Laos. Since then many Lao fled to Thailand or a third country. Only two direct members of the royal Lao family managed to flee to France. Recently one of the King of Laos’s grandsons is taking the lead to unite overseas Lao. He also plans to unite overseas with the people inside Laos for peace and prosperity for the country.
