This is one of the first proper mixes I ever recorded, from 1997. It was originally put together as a showcase for a potential DJ residency job... Even though it wasn't what they were looking for (I was basically trying to emulate Paul Oakenfold's Goa Mix!), I still got the job! 😁
I toiled ridiculously over parts of this at the time. Therain loop was an original recording from my bedroom window mixed in with a classic Alan Parsons track, and getting Vangelis to digitally loop in time with a vinyl with no DAW software to speak of was, well, challenging! 😉 Also keep an ear out for some pretentious quotes from a programme I was watching about Virtual Reality for a university project...
