I tried desperately to do a Soul Sessions this month but the standard of vocal house about at the moment is just abysmal, so what else to do but fall back on the old faithful -> no bullshit, bare bones, sliced & diced jackin’ house – guaranteed to please those who like to groove!

Ones to watch out for – the opening track from Bah Samba (disco heaven!), a stomping remix of The Average White Band’s Pickin’ Up The Pieces from the House Inspectors (funk heaven!), Cassius’s classic 99 that has recently been remixed and re-released (the original is still the best) and heaps more chopped up funk and disco coated in 21st century house beats in the rest. This one’s got one foot firmly stuck in the 70s, so whack on the flares and jack jack jack your body!
