Electro Music 80s Electropop really is what it says as the tin - it combines elements of electronic music and pop genres. Electropop first emerged from the United Kingdom in the early 1980s, though its history begins a decade or so earlier when musicians like Germany’s Kraftwerk, French composer Jean-Michel Jarre and Yellow Magic Orchestra from Japan began composing and performing pop and dance music with electronic instruments.
Some fascinating new music began arriving on British shores; it was dubbed electropop, because of the electronic instrumentation. The Blessed Madonna shares some important electropop tunes from the history books, as well as some more personal favourites.
