from 2002-2006, the 2nd friday of every month at a little pub in stepney called Soma was known as deepdown.... we played deep house and tech house and, for the first three years anyway, it rocked... djs were jane fitz, and residents on rotation for the first couple of years were justin tayo, neil holmes and jason skinner (who follows jane on this mix at about 46 mins in). guests included tony cusack, juergen junker, matt pond, sketchy beats, timo, warwick arthur and loads, loads more...
deepdown was beers and good cocktails, a shite sound system, rubbish monitor, lots of random old geezers and some great music making it the best little party in e1 - when there was fuck all else in e1. pity they moved the dj booth and it all went shit after that. still, good times....
