When Louche asked me to do this mix, i didn't really know much about them. I'm old and live in London, I'm not really their demographic. But when I checked the roll call of DJs already on the site I realised not only did these guys have great taste, but that they had an amazing following too. How could I refuse?
Trying to squeeze into an hour where I like to go playing records was a challenge. I like long sets, late night or early morning, or lengthy mood-setting warm-ups, 3-4 hours. Self-indulgent? Sure. But that's what I like. I'm not really a peak time, bang-it-out type yet a podcast always feels like that's what it should be. So me trying to reconcile one with the other is what's here.
It took a good few recordings until I was happy with it. Maybe not 100 percent happy with everything, but happy enough to sleep at night.
I want to say thank you to Louche for the opportunity. Big, big thanks.
