I'm not a massive fan of what you kids call Jackin' House, but occasionally, if I like the original and it's done well enough, I will pick the tune up for my guilty listening pleasure.
The opening tune was still doing the rounds when I first started courting Mrs G back in the late 90s, and it takes me right back to being that cocky nutjob fresh out of the US Navy, and Sunday lie-ins followed by either a breakfast or a lunch at the SE22 pub. And being young, dumb, and full of...er...you get the picture...
The rest of the mix gives us some new tunes, some old tunes in new clothes, and some old tunes, with varying degrees of soulful disco houseyness.
(And RIP Andy Williams aka Yam Who? aka Qwestlife; I only recently became acquainted with his work. He was a genius at giving disco a fresh and contemporary feel.)
