Greetings, once again, from deepest darkest Cornwall. Continuing my holiday vibe with more of those new releases I've acquired over the past month.
On Saturday, I found out that the late, great Ryuichi Sakamoto's final album was released on Friday. So I bookended this mix with two tracks from the album. The album (entitled Opus) is a solo live performance of his own favourite works on piano, filmed and released as a documentary. It is emotional, poignant, and beautiful. And I highly recommend you go and buy it...now.
In between these two tracks it's a bit more lively. As per the last mix, we have a pretty good mix of genres. However, there happens to be more Afro/Latin House on this one. Plus, as with all of my recent new music mixes we have even more Sonic Funk Foundry. That guy is prolific!
Anyway, unless I get a wild hair, I shan't be posting again until Friday. So I hope you all have at least half as good a week as I am anticipating!
