This mix includes tunes of various funky flavours, from the 60s to this year, all hovering around 100 BPM. And just because it's slow, doesn't mean it's not energetic. A good mix of bangers and ballads for this one...
I was looking for a clean sounding edit for 'Family Affair' when I discovered that there is a new docupic on Sly Stone - Sly Lives! (aka The Burden of Black Genius) - and an accompanying soundtrack, which I bought immediately. 'Family Affair' didn't make it to this mix because I just love today's first track so much, and knew I had to play it!
