I once made the acquaintance of the vocalist for today's first track on an East End pub crawl (one of my buddies knew his missus). It was fortuitous, as the album was one of my and the future Mrs G's favourite albums at the time. We ended up hanging out and staying up late talking music.
Future Mrs G was at home and worried sick about me (I was an absolute nightmare!). He autographed, on the back of an LP, an apology to the long-suffering Mrs G for keeping me out late. Class...
The album still holds up rather well, more than 25 years later.
The rest of the mix is a melange of various groovy sounds from around the world. Mostly Latin American, with psychedelic and dub accents thrown in.
