Before diving into tech-house, I started by mixing psytrance my favorite trance style, melodic techno/house and ethnic house leaning towards a melodic vibe.
As time went on, I found myself playing in venues where afro-house and tech-house were also appreciated. Over time, I came to love the unique qualities of each genre, much like the four seasons, with their blend of tranquil and energetic sounds! I felt that these sounds perfectly capture the essence of autumn, which is how I came up with the name "Leafbeat" 🍂🍁
This mix is my very first tech-house set, which I hadn’t shared before, it’s pretty old, haha. I chose some rhythmic tech-house tracks and crafted this mix just for fun to experiment. In club they loved it when they heard it, and it ended up being broadcast on DIFM.
So here it is, my first-ever tech-house mix from way back when! Mixing it brought me so much joy, and it still makes me smile whenever I listen to it😄
