For HYC episode 014 I have a guest mix from one of Japans unsung treasures of the underground scene DJ Ago.
Based out in Nagoya he has been a DJ since around 2000
In his own words this is how he describes the mix
"70% made in Japan mix. Sorry i couldn't make it 100 lol
Recent bass music from my friends and 80s/90s japanese dub music which were the greatest influence for me at the time.
Especially the last song called "After the rain" was written by Hirofumi Asamoto in 1985. who was the legend of Japanese dub music and also was the pioneer of Japanese drum and bass. Gave me huge inspirations. Unfortunately he passed away last month, l dedicated this mix for him"

Leading into this I have put together a number of Japanese music selections ranging from 1950's sound track effects, Japanese folk, through to modern underground Drum & Bass & footwork.
