In the 50's and 60's Maurice Sellar was an original Tin Pan Alley ‘mover and shaker’ and one of Britain's top comedy writers writing for Frankie Howerd. He was also a performer in the duo Morris & Mitch later to become Morris, Marty (Feldman) & Mitch the first UK act to parody 'Pop music' for Decca Records, sending up Tommy Steele and Lonnie Donegan before satirising The Beatles visit to India in 1967. Before that Maurice signed up the Beatles for an exclusive radio contract in 1963, lasting just 3 months. He went on to open Tiles club in Oxford St. which courted Tamla Motown's début appearance with Martha & the Vandellas, Diana Ross & The Supremes, and Stevie Wonder prior to an appearance on ITV. Tiles also saw The Who, Brian Jones and Mick Jagger as regulars. Luxembourg's RSG Radio came from there too! Maurice's brother Irvine ran the fashion stores Irvine Sellars. He recently built London's famous Shard! This show was first transmitted on Resonance104.4 fm on May 16th 2010.
