Description
Muscle Shoals is a documentary feature film about FAME and Muscle Shoals Studios.
A documentary that celebrates Rick Hall, the founder of FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and the signature sound he developed in songs such as "I'll Take You There", "Brown Sugar", and "When a Man Loves a Woman". On October 29th 2013. David Hood bassist of the famous Muscle Shoals house band The Swampers came in to talk to me on Wanted on Resonance fm 104.4 London. The Muscle Shoals Horns have often eclipsed the house band, but both are equally as celebrated. David's amazing bass playing is on numerous great albums and we feature and talk about those here. He went on to found Muscle Shoals Sound Studio where he produced songs for Willie Nelson, and Cher along with others. David Hood has played bass on albums by Boz Scaggs, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon, Bob Seger, Traffic, The Staple Singers, Frank Black, Odetta, John Hiatt, Etta James, and Percy Sledge.
