On April 23 2013 Mick Grabham (seated first left with Procol Harum in 1972) appeared on Resonance 104.4 London. He came to UK prominence in the 1960's with band The Plastic Penny and their covers of songs such as 'MacArthur Park', 'Everything I am' as well as with top originals such as 'Genevieve' and 'She Does'. Their drummer Nigel Olsson later went on to join Elton John's band in 1969 and bassist Tony Murray joined The Troggs while Mick went on to form the UK Country outfit Cochise with the now legendary pedal steel guitar man BJ Cole. In 1972 he recorded his solo debut 'Mick The Lad' for UA Records with Pete Wingfield. Later that year he was invited to join Procol Harum and played on four Procol albums including their 1975 UK Top 20 single 'Pandora's Box'. Mick has since played as a guest and session musician with many major names. He briefly rejoined Procol for their 30th Anniversary re-union in 1997 and their RPO gig in Guildford in 2000.
