Ronnie Golden aka Tony De Meur was in the post punk band The Fabulous Poodles. They did lots of TV, had hits, and supported The Ramones and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers on tours in The USA. They outsold the Clash both in terms of tickets sales and albums (at the time). Ronnie later played with The Comic Strip comedians in London's Soho in the early 1980's and appeared on The Young Ones series on BBCTV as an upsidedown Buddy Holly. He went on to work with Arthur Smith, Barry Cryer and Rich Hall. Catch him in London in June and July (with Barry Cryer in Ruislip) and at The Edinburgh Festival in August. This Show was first transmitted on Resonance fm 104.4 London & http://resonancefm.com on May 2oth at 3pm and repeated at 11am on Tuesday May 22nd.
