I recorded this mix for the Café Mambo competition, but if I'm honest, I approached it the same way I approach every set I put together – focusing on atmosphere, emotion and telling a story through music.
Rather than taking the obvious route, I leaned into the deeper, more reflective side of a sunset soundtrack. The mix blends ambient textures, downtempo grooves and a handful of records that have stayed with me over the years, alongside some of my own productions.
I've always enjoyed creating these journeys, whether they're for a competition, a radio show or simply for people to escape into for an hour. They're often the sets I receive the most messages about, and hopefully this one is no different.
