This is the iconic image of trainspotters going through the DJ's crates at the world famous Wigan Casino from days gone by, and here are just some of the well known "holy grail" pieces that could easily be found in one of those boxes. Since I was clearly too young, and half a world away during Wigan's heyday, I can only dream of being one of the many patrons at one of those legendary all night Soul parties... In any event, After many years of procrastination, I finally got the nerve to cobble this mix together simply as a reference point. A few of these tunes I have on 45, some of them I would like to have on 45 and some that would make me do wrong to have on 45. It may take a day, a week, maybe forever, but the bottom line is that one day they will all be in my crate. Enjoy.
