What an eventful few weeks we've had here in my neck of the woods. After an unlikely earthquake and two hurricanes, I still managed to move into the new digs. And on top of that, fighting with my ISP was loads of fun. In any event, I'm trying in earnest to free all my vinyls, but there's still about 10 more boxes to go. I hope to have it all done by the end of the month and get back to spinning 45s again, but for now I am still relegated to scouring the hard drive for more classic mixes. This particular one was done way back in 2007 when the now legendary “What It Is” box set came out. Notice the excessive use of that phrase throughout the mix, as well as plenty of tracks from the aforementioned box set. For me, that box set was one of the catalysts that fueled my obsession for digging furiously for OG 45’s, no matter the condition or price (although cheaper is better). Enjoy... (NOTE: this mix contains non-vinyl sources.)
Thank you all for your patience and continued patronage.
