Since the 29th of July 2018, Lombok has experienced over 600 earthquakes, including a 7.0, a 6.9 and many more above 6 on the Richter Scale, resulting in the deaths of around 500 people, 10,000 injured and 90% of buildings in the northern half of the island completely flattened. Many of my friends have not only lost their homes but also their ability to generate an income for themselves, with businesses unable to operate and very little tourism due to the constant movements of the Earth. They live in community camps under tents in open fields, are constantly traumatised by the seemingly endless number of earthquakes, and most have small children to look after.
You can help them out by donating anything you can afford to give, but you are free to just enjoy this music. Just imagine you or your friends being in this position through no fault of your own.
