Depression is debilitating.... but I'm not afraid to talk about it. I have suffered for many years with the illness, but thankfully I found comfort in music. When everything that was light is dark, when the joy cannot be felt, when the sweetness cannot be tasted, it has always been the sound of something beautiful that consoles me.
Beauty in music has traditionally been achieved by an orchestra, at the heart of which was usually the piano. For centuries the piano has been the main stay of music, but in this modern world that grip is weakening as synthesisers become more powerful than ever. This mix explores them both in a progression from the old to the new.
