Volume 6 of the EPS spans the usual time frames, mixing music from the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, and the currently unfolding decade into one unexpected blend. One of my favorite, unanticipated segues here takes us from Janelle Monáe's neo-electro-R&B ballad "Look Into My Eyes" into the melancholy, off-kilter grandeur of Roxy Music's underrated "Manifesto." It's the kind of moment that is generally missing in the world of internet music, unless you've managed to stumble upon my humble effort to correct this oversight.
