The famous Becket line keeps playing in my head: "I can't go on. I'll go on." That pretty much describes my head space here in September 2020, with corruption institutionalized, the pandemic yet untamed, and democracy itself on the ballot. We've been stuck, somewhere between reality and madness, for months on end. Someday this will all make sense, in retrospect, like everything else.
