dj dwayne minard - #TBT - My Life In House - January 2012

this set was recorded January 2012 & it earned the title My Life In House after I listened to it and realized I had unwittingly recorded a set that spanned my career in house music up to that time. the opening track is a booty of Lou Rawls single "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" (a song I've loved since I was a little kid) then I went into a slew of disco & jackin house tracks that were similar to what I played when I first cut my teeth in the Toronto gay scene back in 2000. Green Velvet's "Millie Vanillie" appealed to me cuz it reminded me of the late 80's house I fell in love with in high school & that segued into some big room tracks that I would drop in my sets at Fly when I was a resident dj for them. I rounded out the set with a few bumping tech house tracks that were a big chunk of what I was playing (& still am) at Daddy Next Door. I love every track in this set & I hope you do to!
