this mix was recorded August 18, 2017. roughly a week after the Charlottesville riots and a day after the attack in Barcelona. like a lot of people around the world I'd been left shaken, saddened & angered by the events of the week that had passed. innocent lives taken by senseless acts of violence motivated by hatred & bigotry. I wanted to counteract all the hatred and negativity with some positivity so I went live on Facebook and began playing some uplifting house music. you see, house music has always been a positive force in my life and I wanted to share that positivity with anyone on my feed that wanted to listen. the result is a set full of driving house tracks with lots of disco samples and messages of hope & love. hope and love... something the world could really use right now.
