DEFINE THE CROWD WITH YOUR MUSIC, DON'T LET THE CROWD DEFINE YOU

All of us people who are in game for decades, are discussing and most of the time arguing with each other about what a DJ should do, what's his main mission and how the crowd must be treated. Some DJs have chosen the path to make DJ-ing their profession, they think they have to align themselves with the taste of their crowd, play what they like, make them happy, make them dance etc. Some of these DJs, even though they play commercial music, do not accept requests for any reason, and are strict about it, which makes me disagree totally because

if someone asks for a song that is relevant to the the event or the time, why not play it ? Could make someone very happy and feel respected. The DJ is not a Director, he's an entertainer. Being a DJ Artist means, YOU are defining and educating your crowd to the music and style YOU want. You have to dominate the crowd with your talent and skills.
