Slowly approachin' somethin' involving a big tree and a guy in a red costume,delivering presents...I used tracks by artists I would've never considered using before. Too kitchy or cheesy I would've said two years ago. I'm thinking of the Carpenters here...I have to admit that I quite like the harmonics and interpretation of the song and as it's not part of what I call a "concept" mix and wanting some flexibility in putting the mix together I gave it a go and also included tracks by Donovan,Gordon Lightfoot and Lee Hazelwood. After all the recording reflects a bit on the coming festivities and I wanted it to sound "light" and entertaining to a broader audience.
