Description
I used to live in Tangier's "Rue de Russie" for a couple of years and have fond memories of my time there. My landlady and ran a "Speakeasy" or "Shebeen" twice a week on the premises which allowed us to make some cash since we both were basically broke at the time. I was the Barman and DJ. I had a couple of SONY MiniDisc players,a CD player and a Video mixer with which I prepared mixes for those evenings. That's how I got the idea of mixing music on 74 min. CD's .For which I went to "Grafitti" Studios in Tangier. But I'll never forget the days when I sat in my place in Javea,Costa Brava,Spain and recorded music from all kinda sources including Radio 3 Nacional de Espana,I then used in mixes I fashioned and recorded to Cassette Tapes for my friends. I used these MiniDiscs for years until I had moved to Tangier. I didn't do all this alone. In the beginning I had help from DJ Jalil who now works for Med Radio in Casablanca.I owe him a lot on the technical side of things...
