AMANUENSIS VOL 2

10 years ago, I made a mix called Amanuensis, so named after the scribes that would pen the work of famous authors and scholars, rather like DJ's, mixing together the finest tracks from their favorite producers and artists. I have always loved this kind of 'back to mine' style of mixing, the chance to take your foot off the gas, and not be concerned about keeping a dance floor jumping, but more to keep the listener listening.. It's a chance to explore the inner, to delve into the psyche, to stretch the imagination, to trip on golden beats!!

I started my career as a Trip Hop Dj and have always held this style in high regard, and it's a tragedy to hear it used in every elevator, and hotel lobby. The genre is rich with sound-scapes and experimentation, and this new mix Amanuensis Vol 2 is a journey both back in time and into the future. Blending some old tracks with fresh material.
