Description
This week we had the pleasure of having Adam Newsome and Justin Berkmann in the studio, the creators of the night inspired by the legendary NYC club, Paradise Garage.
We found out how Justin, the founder of Ministry of Sound and promoter Adam, met and combined their passion to create ‘A Night in Paradise.’ In an hour that flew by we heard some of their favourite tracks including a huge Larry Levan flavoured Jakki record, a drum beat to treasure from The Police and some Italo-Disco from Alexander Robotick. They discussed the future of clubbing and each record evoked some lovely thoughts from the two enigmatic characters.
There was time to squeeze in a few nuggets from the Disco Freaks vault as we looked ahead to our next big event at Bussey Building (bit.ly/DFChaka) on Friday 5th April.
Experience ‘A Night in Paradise’ on 30th March at Ministry of Sound from 6pm-6am - Tix - bit.ly/2JkzG3o
Tune in live Wednesdays 7-9pm GMT on Hoxton Radio & 2-4pm ET on The Face Radio, Brooklyn.
