Midnight Spotlight : Alex Gauthier AKA "Gautz" (Kelowna, Canada)
Gauthier grew up in the humble little Québec town of Rouyn-Noranda, his passion for playing electric guitar and composition lead him to leave home at 17 to pursue higher music education at CÉGEP de Drummondville and then at Université de Montréal. Eventually he moved to BC where he discovered bass music, music festivals and sound system culture.
His passion for music renewed, he learned to DJ and started producing music focusing on his love for Drum & Bass.
