This evening, we’ll be speaking to Tanisa Gunesekera, the Strengthening Our Common Life trainee based at the British Museum’s Community Partnerships team. Tanisa is going to explore musical connections with the British Museum’s collection – ranging from classical music, to rock and UK hip hop.
Strengthening Our Common Life is Cultural Co-operation's an innovative skills training programme, which offers 14 paid placements in top heritage organisations in London, Bristol, Portsmouth, Manchester and Newcastle. The project is supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund's Skills for the Future initiative and aims to increase workforce diversity across the sector.
