This is a comp I put together for the French record label Yellow Productions back in 2003 after DJ-ing for them at a party with Harvey at the Miami Winter Music Conference. I was a big fan of the label so was 'chuffed' to be asked. This mix travels to a lot of places but overall has a more electro-feel to it with tracks from the 70's, 80's, 90's and early noughties. Rob Wood, then editor of Jockey Slut mag, wrote in the liner notes, 'Cosmo's skill at linking the past with the present to create something altogether more edgy is not uncanny...Cosmo's compilation for Yellow unashamedly celebrates the life affirming qualities of DFA productions as much as it does Salsoul arrangements...The disco-tech of Cosmo is indeed fun, fearless and may perhaps be even somewhat peerless...'.
