It has been a very long time since I have owned a set of decks, but given that we are all sat at home doing the square root of nothing due to COVID I decided to do a socially distanced purchase of a Pioneer DDJ-RB controller from sketchy part of Belfast and set myself a challenge to see if I'm still able to do a half decent mix.
I bust out the laptop, installed Rekordbox, synced some Spotify playlists to Beatport Link and here we have it. I put together this mix the day I purchased the controller but had to wait a few days until I repaired a faulty fader before I could record it.
It's not perfect, and you can definitely hear my old MacBook crying for memory in parts but it's been fun and I might even do a few more soon.
