Established in 1987 as the UK’s first air ambulance service, Cornwall Air Ambulance continues to provide a vital lifeline for both residents and visitors throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Operating 365 days a year without direct government funding, the charity relies entirely on public generosity to carry out over 1,000 missions annually.
Their state-of-the-art AW169 helicopter enables the crew to deliver critical care swiftly, often reaching patients within minutes.
Joining is Sarah Yeoman, Communications and Media Officer at Cornwall Air Ambulance, to talk about a very exciting summer for the team - with a new aircraft set to take to the skies and a full calendar of community events including their flagship fundraiser, Helifest.
