St Austell Repair Cafe is a community initiative dedicated to reducing waste and supporting sustainability by helping people repair everyday items.
However, a shortage of volunteers has meant they have recently had to suspend sessions, and has led to them urgently seeking fresh faces with skills in electrical, mechanical, sewing, soldering, and general repairs to donate just two hours per month.
A Volunteer Intro Morning has been arranged for early August to welcome new helpers and share information. Joining us this morning to discuss the current challenges, volunteer opportunities, and future plans is Peter Blenard, Chair of St Austell Repair Cafe.
