Description
Eleanor Prendergast chats to Tommy Duggan about his father Jimmy Duggan.
Jimmy Duggan is in serious need of a lifesaving bone marrow transplant. His need for a second bone marrow transplant in Ireland was refused, which meant that Jim had to travel to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, USA.
He is currently undergoing chemotherapy in preparation for the new bone marrow transplant. The Duggan family (Jim, Bridie, Corina, Paul and Tommy) have put everything they can (in excess of €500k) into paying for his treatment. However, there is currently a shortfall of around €500k.
The Duggan Family need immediate aid in funding Jim's lifesaving transplant. The family are required to pay all of the medical costs within the next month before Jimmy can receive his transplant.
