Thijsenterprise (Reinier Thijs) is a Dutch musician living in Barcelona who makes hip-hop beats by chopping soul and jazz samples, using raw drums and dirty bass lines, all for the love of the perfect loop. Last year he released Je Hebt De Boem En De Klap as the duo 2-Two Legged Dogs, and as a solo artist he released Stepbacks & Setbacks and the EP Dokkum. He will drop Smoetsie, his next instrumental hip-hop album, in spring 2019.
This mix is a preview of the next album 'Smoetsie'. The theme of the record, and this mix, is that good old lovemaking music. Thijsenterprise goes back and forth between Breukelen and Brooklyn using classic hip-hop songs, underground instrumentals and original samples ranging from jazz, soul to disco. All just as smoetsie as they should be.
