Brooklyn born and raised Marcus Logan is a producer (Groove Theory, Das Efx, Wu-Tang, Tupac) and marketing vet (Sony, Bad Boy, Star Trak, Def Jam) who has been DJ'ing since 2005. Inspired by the sounds of NY in the 90's & 00's, Logan's DJ inspirations come from the last day of the Paradise Garage, Soul Kitchen, Don Hill's, Table 50, Mars, The World, Moomba and more. Logan's sets are an array of polyphonic moods & grooves covering hip-hop, neo-soul, funk, soul, jazz, world, and house.
Seeing Sounds will provide a bi-weekly peek into music stemming from hip-hop, soul & funk and it’s influence on world culture.
This mix pays homage to the late founder of Uptown Records, Andre Harrell & and his protege Sean “P.Diddy” Combs. We will look at the influence of their music and the impact it had on 90’s street culture from NYC.
